YELLOW CARD RULES

REVISED MAY 2006

1. One yellow card =
Warning.

2. Two yellow cards for one player in one game =
1 red card. Penalized player is also suspended for the very next game. In the current game, the team must also play a player down. If a man is carded, he can be replaced by another man, but a woman must leave the field in the carded man's place. If your team is playing with the minimum number of players and one is ejected, a forfeit will result.

3. Three yellow cards for one player in one season = one game suspension. Penalized player suspended for the very next game after his/her third yellow card was issued.

4. Four yellow cards for one player in one season = Two game suspension. Penalized player is suspended for the very next two games.

5. Five yellow cards by one player in one season = Automatic ejection from the league for the season. The player may appeal to the misconduct committee.

RED CARD RULES

6. One red card = Automatic ejection from the game. Penalized player is also suspended for the very next game. In the current game, the team must also play a player down. (See item 2 on the left) Any player receiving a red card for Serious Foul Play or Violent Conduct (as defined in the Laws of the Game) will receive a two game suspension and will automatically appear before the misconduct committee. Additional penalties may be imposed by that committee.

7. Two Red Cards = 3 game suspension. The player will also appear before the misconduct committee. Additional penalties may be imposed by that committee.

8. Three red cards for one player in one season = Automatic ejection from the league for the season. The player may appeal to the misconduct committee.

9. Four red cards by 3 or 4 different players on one team in one season = Automatic ejection of the team from the league for the season. The captain may appeal to the misconduct committee.

Note: In all cases above and under yellow cards, punishment will depend on severity of the calls. Any penalized players may also be reviewed by the misconduct committee to determine any additional penalties. Any officer or captain may request a player be brought to the misconduct committee for actions deemed inappropriate.
